Meg, Mama/Na Na?

I am a Hot Mama because...

I wanted to help build a community of strong, empowered women (and dads) who can pack in healthy living and fitness into their everyday busy lives without the guilt of leaving their little ones behind. As a second-gen Canadian, I've also witnessed the pressures that women, particularly women in the Asian community put themselves through to stay "skinny" because their families or the media define them by their waistline and not by their accomplishments and strengths. I would really love to help moms and their minis embrace a strong body and mind over just simply looking good.

Joining the Hot Mama team and building my own Hot Mama community is the best decision I have ever made because...

I get to stay active, meet new families in my community, help my fellow mamas and bring my little one to work whenever I want.

My supportive "rad dad" Benny, my daughter Penelope and fur baby, our boxer Bosco.

My favourite part of my body is...

My quads. Currently, rebuilding the strength in them that I lost during pregnancy and my first year of motherhood. Squats and burpees, anyone? :)

I can often be heard saying (or yelling)...

My favourite healthy snack is... But secretly I would rather be having...

Homemade guacamole! I rather be having movie theatre popcorn, extra butter and maltesers tossed in there, melting ever so slightly.

My perfect Sunday morning is...

sleeping in, going out for brunch and enjoying a spring afternoon stroll out at the park or Main Street with the whole family.

My dream vacation is...

Maldives... I want to see the fish swim underneath the floor.

My favourite way to indulge myself is...

To cuddle up on the couch with snacks and Netflix.
